Azzy's sick « Thread Started on May 10, 2009, 6:45am »
Azzy's sick, or at least I think she is. She isn't eating much, she keeps gasping, and her movements are all rigid. Also, when she tries to swim, her head and arms go down, but the other half of her won't sink. And she keeps banging her head against the walls of her tank. I'm really worried about her. Az is only three months old, and she's still really tiny. What's wrong with her?

Awww, poor Az I agree with Louisa. I wouldn't have said what it is (because I'm not a veterinarian, of course). Take Az to the veterinarian, see what they say. That's the best advice you could get.

She seems better today... Her swimming's better, just a little slow. She's eating now, and she's breathing normally. Do you think she's still sick? I'm not really sure. Also, the vet we go to doesn't treat turtles, but we're looking for one that does.

Personally, If It were me I would still take her to the vet just to be sure. But then again, I'am overly paranoid when it comes to animals being sick. But It couldn't hurt to get her checked out just in case.
